It’s that time of year again that separates the men from the boys…so to speak. We’re
winding down to Black Friday-the biggest shopping day of the entire year. For those of you who
aren’t into strapping on the gear and putting on the face-paint all for a pair of $5 pajamas and a
$19 crock-pot, Cyber Monday is the Black Friday of online shopping and it’s an awesome
opportunity to get state-of-the-art electronic equipment for less than you’ve ever seen it
before. For folks like me who like to support the “little people”, Small Business Saturday is the
day we pledge to shop small. This helps mom and pop shops and boutiques get their piece of
the pie and it’s an opportunity to discover new incredible gems that we never noticed before!
I’ve listed some tips and tricks for making the most out of it all.
For Black Friday shopping, I have my 6 favorite hot spots:
1. GordmansIf I had to choose only one store to shop at for Black Friday, Gordman’s would be it. Last
year, I spent about three hours in Gordmans just making extra rounds and making sure I
didn’t forget anything. Granted, the store was pretty packed but the associates did a
good job of funneling traffic in as traffic left. Of course, this is bad news for anyone
standing outside waiting to get in. Accessories started as low as $2 and shoes as low as
$5 PLUS you got a bag to put as many goodies as you could fit in it and get an additional
