Go to a real pow wow. If you can find safe travel into a reservation then make sure you time the trip so you land right in the middle of a celebration. Taking in different cultures is much easier when the common love of sunshine is at the forefront of both your minds.

Do something childish. Chances are, if you read magazines you're probably well versed in adulthood. If you take some time during a long afternoon to play in the dirt or spray a family member with the hose, you might reawaken the child in you who's energy and honest love is so plentiful.

Cook a meal over a fire. Nothing brings the family together like an old school natural flame-cooked meal.

Dig into a summer ale. For the connoisserus out there, you know there are tons of brews that are only released in the summer time. Grab up a few new ones and celebrate your taste buds.

Go to an apple orchard. Apples are synonymous with summer time. Go out to an orchard and take a huge bite out of a nice ripe apple.

Listen to Reggae music. A groovy upstroke just doesn't seem to mean as much in the dead of winter.

Do some renevations on your home. When it's warm there's a lot more room to make adjustments than in the cold. You can leave your windows open to let the dust out and you can use the porch to store things because the weather is ready to work with you as a team.
