when the market conditions are harsh .

It ' s always inspiring to remember that the trend is your friend . This means you should always find away to ride with the tide rather than ride against it .

The benefits exceed lipstick diplomacy .
If you are a regular reader of this column you already have some understanding of what we are talking about . I came across the book titled , Warren Buffet Invests Like a Girl and Why You Should Too by Louann Lofton . The book covers eight essential principles every investor needs to create a profitable portfolio .
When I first saw it , I had my own imaginations about what the author had in mind . I thought about how a girl would navigate the dating market moving on to the marriage market . I remembered the fact that most divorces are initiated by women which means they know when to get out of bad investment situations with more confidence than men . Then my attention was drawn to the recently held Polygamy Conference in Nairobi which had topics like a husband for every woman , it was also dominated by female speakers .
Anyway , according to the book like Warren Buffet , girls are better investors than an average man . One of the reasons for this is that their temperament helps them to achieve long-term success in the market .
They carry out more research on investment choices than men , they are less susceptible to peer or beer pressure , they are more level-headed crowning it with a more patient approach to investment . One of the attributes that caught my attention is that they trade less actively than men meaning they take specific positions for longer without changing their minds even
Men have been blamed for causing financial crisis due to testosterone driven decision-making tendencies which presence of women on the table tends to moderate . This is especially in relation to their short-term reasoning in abundance , risk taking behavior in times of ridiculous excess , belief in endless greed filled money making with no care about the consequence of the same and cynical profiteering on the next big opportunity around the corner .
The point is that we all need to learn something from the girls and investors like Warren Buffet in order to ensure long term sustainability of our investments and other major decisions in the New , “ New ” Normal .
