Consider your life as a process , constructed , developed , and equipped to perform at its optimal capacity . Based on where you are and what you are doing today , do you feel late , underperforming , or not fully utilized ? If you feel that way , it ’ s prudent you borrow and apply these bottlenecks ’ principles into your life . Firstly , it ’ s important to start with an honest analysis of your full potential based on your talents , skills , education , experiences , opportunities , resources , and circumstances . Compare your capacity and productivity to that of people with similar abilities and education who have achieved better results
Your potential analysis gives you a gap between where you are and where you should be . To close that gap , you must identify the main bottleneck . What ’ s that one thing that makes you not harness your potential or utilize your abilities fully ? Do a 5 Whys analysis to get to the root cause of your under-capacity performance . Bottlenecks could be internal or external . So , ask friends to help analyze your weaknesses , beliefs , values , behaviors , your situations , the company you are working for , friends , location , or whatever is choking your flow .
You could be in a toxic and limiting location , company , or relationship . Some

people also harbor beliefs of self-doubt and negative thoughts of who they are and what they could possibly become . Others have bad and limiting behaviors that keep showing up when the table is all set for them . Others are heavy laden with past burdens and thoughts that keep pulling them back to the ground when they are set to fly . Honest self-evaluation and analysis are essential for identifying the root cause of your underperformance .
Once the bottleneck is identified , put all the effort into managing or removing it all together . If your bottleneck is your current location , consider relocating to a place where your talents , skills , and capabilities can be better utilized and appreciated . If it ’ s a behavior or any of the internal bottlenecks , seek a personal coach , colleagues , friends or even a boss to help you work around , minimize or eradicate the bottleneck . If it ’ s a course you need to complete in order to unlock your other capabilities , enroll and study .
We are created , brought up , educated and skilled in order to perform to our fullest potential . You might find yourself flying low like a duck , even though you have built the capacity and capability to soar high like an eagle . You have developed strong wings and feel like you are ready to fly but you get restrained . Your progress and free flow is being blocked and slowed down by self , someone , or something , notwithstanding the smooth path you have cut for yourself . Identify what ’ s limiting you . Work around it , or remove it . Then spread your wings and soar to the highest clouds like an eagle . And deposit zero to those graveyard treasures .
