For over 100 years , Unga Group has operated as one of the largest millers in East Africa with a heritage of over a century in grain milling , striving to provide a variety of superior human nutrition products ranging from wheat flour to maize meal , porridge , pulses and rice .
As the only listed milling concern , our range of wheat , maize , and products are versatile to suit the needs of our customers . They are made from the finest and carefully selected grains to ensure they offer superior nutrition to our customers . Our pulses and rice products are well preserved to maintain their natural richness and nutrition from

Repositioning
The decision to embrace this repositioning at a strategic level is rooted in our commitment to meet and exceed the evolving preferences of our consumers while delicately balancing shareholder needs .
It is undoubtedly a response to the consumer base , which has loudly spoken , and we are deliberately responding to shifts in consumer purchasing habits by repositioning ourselves as a holistic food company through strategic joint ventures and relevant partnerships .
Unga has reintroduced two essential food items that have become highly popular to create a balanced food selection . In Kenya , if you visit any household or local eatery , you ' ll notice that Ugali , once commonly paired with Sukuma Wiki , is now more likely to be served with a larger portion of Madondo , Ndengu , or Kamande . Sukuma Wiki is gradually becoming a secondary garnish , as pulses are now the main staple foods . In my opinion , Chapati without Madondo , Kamande , or Ndengu just doesn ' t cut it !
