People and processes have to measured and evaluated as well . This is the sure way to capture growth or notice early troublesome areas .
A great meal starts with a detailed recipe . The magic happens in the measurements of the ingredients . The taste is acquired when the ingredients are mixed in calculated and evaluated instances . The heat is tempered and infused in the right dimensions . The length of cooking has to be right and as such nothing is left to chance . How can you leave to chance a world class recipe yet you want a masterpiece meal ?

This can only be achieved by keeping tabs with the details that matter in that trade within it and all around it . Let me share an illustration . There was a business owner named Bob who ran a small coffee shop . Bob had a passion for coffee and loved serving his customers , but he didn ’ t keep track of his key metrics , which would later prove to be a grave mistake .
One day , Bob decided to expand his menu and add a variety of food items to his coffee shop . He hired a few additional staff members and invested in new equipment to accommodate the expanded menu . At first , business was booming , and Bob was thrilled with the increase in sales . However , he still didn ’ t keep an eye on his metrics , and soon enough , he began to run into problems .
Bob didn ’ t track his inventory levels , so he didn ’ t realize that his new menu items were costing him more than he was earning . He also didn ’ t keep track of his employee schedules , so he had more staff working than necessary , which increased
