This 4th one may sound so obvious . We must appreciate the value of hard work , especially in challenging economic situations . Diligence has always had a reward , whether that for you means working smarter , faster or in a more efficient way to get to the end goal . If in business , all your marketing efforts , pre-planning , strategizing , budgeting , cost analysis , before a big launch , will turn in a profit . There is a spiritual law promoting reward for diligent hands . If an employee , picture the direct impact of your contribution to the bottom line of your company . Won ’ t that motivate you , even so a direct contribution to your getting a raise or a promotion . All hard work brings a profit , but mere talk leads only to poverty . ( Proverbs 14:23 )
Lastly , all work and no play , makes jack a dull boy . Now , we know the value of work and what impact it has on our economy , our livelihoods and the direct impact of our personal finances . However , everything must be done in moderation . There has been a rise in the youth - millennials and gen z - of a toxic ‘ hustle culture ’ or team ‘ no sleep ’. Where they promote a constant state of grinding and productivity and work without prioritizing rest . From a spiritual angle , even the creation of the Earth , necessitated God to rest on the 7th day .

We must be honest in our dealings at work . Especially those selling actual goods in their line of business . Let your business be known for fairness , and transparency and honesty in it ’ s dealings . For the favor of the Lord rests upon those who maintain transactions of integrity .
This is an omnipotent force taking a day off work , how much more do you need this as a mere mortal ?
Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy , because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done . ( Genesis 2:3 )
The terminology work-life balance may seem elusive to many . But that does not mean that you cannot schedule rest . Literally block a day to do nothing . Do not lift a finger to work .

Research has found that taking breaks can improve your mood , boost your performance and increase your ability to concentrate and pay attention . Isn ’ t that amazing ?
