Music is never played alone , join fellow industry players in professional associations for the good of your trade . In unity there is strength . The comic story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs has good lessons we can learn . The dwarfs were outmatched in terms of the evil plans the queen had for Snow White . Her beauty was a gift as well as a chalice drink . Armed with rogue soldiers of a powerful Kingdom including wizards and sorcerers of their time , the Queen unleashed terror and wanted the innocent Snow-White dead . It is the unity of purpose the dwarfs had with Snow White that saved the day . That unity brought wisdom and their simple moves thwarted a murder plot by the evil Queen . Their goal was to defeat evil and save an innocent beautiful girl . Who would later be crowned Queen . By extension she helped the dwarfs be recognized and protected by the King thereafter .
Fair Play
Comb through your internal affairs to have the highest level of compliance to all just laws and regulations . Fairness and justice should be practiced within your quarters . Staff , suppliers and partners need not only know but be certain that the entrepreneur genuinely cares and is fair . It is an effort in futility to push for justice with external players when internally your business is otherwise .
Engage Local Community
At whatever level we all have something to give back to our communities . It could be the smallest of efforts but when we are consistent then it becomes an avalanche of love . In our communities we have leaders and citizens that safeguard the trust that regulators and government agencies use to deliver on their mandate . When we engage genuinely without hypocrisy then at the opportune moment the community plays in our corner . Their influence safeguards our existence in the ubuntu spirit . Remember our clients are drawn from communities and thus it is a win-win when we engage them .
Grow Leaders
Your internal programs should be aimed at developing leadership with integrity and
muscle . The more sensible leaders we have the better for our society . Remember life is transient and your staff come and go . They end up in other organizations who could be regulators , competitors , or government agencies .
Leaders multiply what is hidden in them . Their intent springs from their experiences and overflows into their spheres of influence . Can your staff recommend a client to you ? Can they give you their child to mentor them ? Can they firmly vouch for you beyond their tenure with your business ?
Intentional Mentorship
The future is secure when we create our mentorship academies . Plug into those nearby you and sharpen those enrolled with the tenets you have gained over the years . It is certain that we will not be here forever , it is therefore imperative that we groom others to take after us . The better we prepare them the better the future will be .
This also goes for those already in leadership , the business community needs to be intentional with them , sensitize them on what they require to make trade prosper . Do it alone , do it through the professional groups , do it with business associations , do it as part of your community engagement and so forth .
Cooperative Movement
The gains of working in unison with likeminded people and businesses increases our chance of success in all spheres . The emergence of networking clubs like the 700club , diners club , BNI , TNT , United Business Association among others goes to show that it is a proven science . Business Associations like KNCCI , Nairobi Business Community and others is evident that to grow exponentially your business needs others .
Solo dances are unique and have their own sparkle . Compared to flash mobs and group routines eeeeehhh the allure and dynamic group texture makes their collage dances more appealing .
The support system of groups is one that every individual and business requires . One bee cannot contend a Lion or an Elephant but a hive of them none of the two or any other can withstand .
