The duo has also been the subjects of fulllength movies with one in the past being considered a failure due to mishandling of characters and the most recent one seeing Tom being hired by a planner of the wedding of the century to deal with the mess caused by Jerry which threatens the career defining moment presented by the event .
Over the years of their lifetimes , brands have to take risks , probably make mistakes and pick up quickly from such mistakes . The tolerance for mistakes is an indicator of a positive innovation climate .

Never would I have imagined that Tom & Jerry had anything to do with it . the blame games Olympic go beyond dogs . Tom & Jerry have been blamed for a lot of issues with some of the productions being heavily edited or completely banned by TV networks all over the world . You know the kind of issues associated with Teletubbies and the like , innocent cartoons by face value being viewed from different lenses bringing out completely new perspectives that many parents and watchdogs cannot approve .

One of the notable critics of the Tom & Jerry came from Salah Abdel Sadek , head of State Information Service of Egypt who in 2016 in his speech at Cairo University stated that the cartoons depicted “ violence in a funny manner and ( sent ) the message that yes I can hit him … and I can blow him up with explosives ” which normalizes violence to its viewers . Sadek opines that this is partly responsible for the epidemic level of violence that has swept through the Middle East for decades . Compared to a dog eating homework that ’ s quite a weighty claim on Tom & Jerry .
Some of the original character were also edited out due to racial innuendos as the world became more intolerant to discrimination of any kind . Sadek ’ s claim also have another weight to it due to the place where he delivered the speech at Cairo University , it is the same place where President Obama gave a speech that is viewed by many to have ignited the Arabs Springs .
