only real decision one has to make is which utensils to use and what condiments to add .

The Israelis perfected the art of distorting reality by milking victimhood when they ensured the world would never forget the holocaust . They made the whole world feel guilty for the treatment of Jews in Nazi Germany and even managed to ensure anti- Semitism was frowned on internationally .
The victim has now become the oppressor in Palestine and is unwilling to accord the same rights that they demand from the world . This level of hypocrisy can only be sustained by a group that keeps up the myth of being the chosen people as an excuse to commit human rights atrocities .
The incessant bullying of the indigenous Palestinians who have progressively been subjected to apartheid policies and denied the right to self-determination is a blatant example of shifting realities to conform and support prejudice , bias and racism .
It is not lost to the world that these same Jews who cried foul and decried racism were the same people that mistreated and marginalized the Falashas when they wished to relocate to the motherland , Israel . How do you claim a right and deny it to another with a straight face ?
What is at stake in Kenya is not the political clout of the so called dynasties and the hustler nation but the very cohesiveness of the Kenyan society . If we continue to resist the lessons that the world is teaching that distortion of reality is unhealthy , then our troubles will persist for years to come .
In the states this reality distortion was ramped up when the American public decided to elect a reality TV personality as their President and in no time at all the real and the fiction became indistinguishable and we saw the birth of the term alternative reality get introduced in normal conversation .
That is how we can now have a former President , who clearly lost an election by a huge margin but continues to claim the election was stolen without him having to prove the allegations . To his delusional electoral base he is still a President waiting to be sworn in when the fraudsters are evicted .
If this was happening in Central African Republic when Emperor Bokassa declared himself president for life the world media would be in stitches , the shoe is now on the other foot and what was a third world joke is now a first world reality . But no one is laughing .
Things are so bad that the Republican Party , the very definition of conservatism is so torn apart by a wave of insane fanatics that are now calling the shots in the party . Woe unto you if you are a Republican political aspirant , if you don ’ t espouse the big lie , you are toast .
The Republican Party is a party at war with itself and speaking the truth is suicidal . Republicans as the bastion of conservatism is going through turbulent waters and it is not even safe to stick out one ’ s neck as there is a toxic media and crazed far-right groups ready to chop it .
Ochieng would also like to remind you that if the Republican Party seems to be sailing in the doldrums with no reprieve in sight then he advises that you don ’ t blink since you may just miss very similar happenings taking place on the Kenyan political front .
The Jubilee party is in disarray with the
President and his running mate running is opposite directions and in the process dividing the country into fanatical and intransigent camps that have refused to sit on the same table although they are on the same side .
How do you explain a peace initiative that has gone so awry that it has become a hostile initiative , what was once a building bridges initiative can properly and truthfully be termed as the breaking bridges initiative given the strange unwillingness to compromise and discuss .
This supposedly peaceful initiative has had a devastating effect on the country as it has now engulfed the judiciary in the fray . The declaration that the initiative is unconstitutional has only succeeded in sending the political temperatures a notch higher .
As a country we have lost sight of what the initiative was meant to achieve and the very fact that there is sufficient opposition to the process should be raising red flags of caution not tempers . Ask the Britons who rushed the Brexit to let you know how untidy a contentious referendum can be .
Ochieng would not like to predict the last word on the unfortunate trajectory that the country has taken but he is willing to bet that the outcome may not be what people expect . What you think it is , won ’ t be and massaging the truth to end up with a particular alternative reality is dangerous for the country .
