Yes , the player processes when they have got the ball , and yes , they consider all possibilities but they are doing it the other way around . These guys have all the possibilities in their minds , ranked from best to worst . That means instead of checking 20 possibilities they are assessing the best 2-3 . Could this be a goal , could this evolve to a one-to-one opportunity for a forward or would this tackle end this counter attack , could that get an offsite trap ? And most of the times it has been done , as they are always ready for it and act on it while others are still processing .
Support your forwards
Remember forwards are the sales people of a soccer team . They can be quirky , hard to manage , and , certainly , will not score or sell every time . You can yell at them all you want , and in the final analysis , they are the experts on scoring opportunities . They need to be supported at mid-field by serving them the ball , read qualified prospects . It is a high-risk , high-reward position and the careers are usually high paying , and relatively short lived . You need a deep bench . Their part of the field is where the play is the fastest and the decision time is the shortest . Give them the ball and let them do their thing .
Hold the middle
Midfield is where the plays or sales begin in earnest . In a marketing organization , that is where the qualified prospects come from . The defense and marketing comes up with the ball or product that move through the sales funnel - midfield to forward to goal or client buying . The key is to maintain possession of the ball or prospect , make quick passes or use proven sales tactics , and get them into a goal ! Get the order & check and supply .
A bad campaign can ruin 10 good ones
Rising Duma Coaches Alex , Poor Millionnaire and Mwende always tell the team members that " parallel passes are illegal ". I hear them say you pass back , you pass forward and if you do not know what to do just kick the ball out . Yet many of the team players are doing the parallel pass and most of the times that is always at 80 + minute in crucial games . Most of the players are influenced by desire to make the difference and take advantage of that small time window and get the ball over to the player . Hence the marketing team should always be keen on delivering great campaigns with integrated marketing communication in mind to help sales guys and the PR team be consistent in the messaging
