On System Failure
It was astounding to hear an elderly and seemingly very devout
Christian lady state categorically that she was going to vote for
Trump because he is a Christian even though no one in their right mind can start to put Trump and Christianity in the same sentence .
How could this hate mongering and foul mouthed demagogue be remotely associated with the values of Christ ? How could such a divisive and remorseless liar who stoked ridiculous conspiracy theories of imaginary foes of America attract the evangelical vote ?
As it turns out all he had to do was to align himself with two issues that went to the core of evangelicals and that was support a pro-life and anti-LGBT stand and he had all Christians eating off his hand even though he absolutely loathes the Christians who see him as an icon .
Then there were the Hispanics who he not only threatened to send back to where they came from and passed all types of executive orders to harass and intimidate them but they still turned out in droves to vote for their nemesis .
Trump was so openly anti Hispanics and went as far as making their exclusion in the USA a campaign rallying point as he promised to build a wall to keep those rapists and murderers out of the beautiful and white United States of America .
He separated families and tortured those seeking asylum in America and sent out security forces to flush out those illegally residing in America and removed a host of safeguards that made America a true land of opportunity and hope .
Yet they turned up in their millions to vote for Trump because as it turns out those Hispanics already in America would actually like to keep new Hispanics out as they generally create competition for the available jobs and they tend to settle in areas already inhabited by other Hispanics .
Most shocking however was the fact that any black man or woman actually voted for Trump and they voted . These were not black people released from asylums and forced to vote for Trump but sane blacks who were attracted to their tormentor .
It is true that moths are attracted to the fire that burn them but it is still shocking that given the George Floyd incidence that reenergized the Black Lives Matter movement , a black person would still be mesmerized by the Trump rhetoric of being the least racist of all American presidents .
Many Americans unnecessarily died because they would not follow the Covid-19 protocols as specified by the CDC because Trump told them not to . He demonized the scientists trying to help Americans cope with the pandemic and shunned them .
Amazingly , many on their death beds still denied the existence of the pandemic and supported Trump ’ s stand that lockdowns would kill the economy . That so many were willing to die to save
