How do you as a corporate citizen , interface with other corporates in the Kenyan business ecosystem ? How do you tap into their muscle in helping drive your vision ?
AAR Healthcare has built strong relationships with different insurance companies which form a huge percentage of our business portfolio . Through these strategic partnerships , we have managed to grow our client portfolio , grow our business relationships as well as expand with assurance of our business partners . The B2B business partnership is a winwin scenario for both of us where we win the partners client portfolio and they are assured of healthy business relationships with their clients .
Being part of the Kenya Healthcare Federation , we are involved in policy formulation and we are able to connect as private and public healthcare in ensuring
we deliver to the same mandate as the government . Through this body then the voices of the private sector are heard by the government as we all chart a route in the formulation of policies that ensure quality and affordable healthcare .
What is AAR ’ s role in the journey to ensure the dream of achieving quality and affordable healthcare is realized ? Do you share your technical prowess in positive policy formulation with relevant government arms ?
AAR Healthcare adherence to standards operating procedures and standards treatment guidelines as stipulated by the Ministry of health and World Health Organization have ensured continuous provision of quality services within our facilities as well as equipping our staff . Regular audits are conducted within our facilities and have given us an edge by ensuring we adhere to set standards , identify areas for improvement for our staff and patients are able to rate the service . As an organization we are also involved in policy formulation through working with the ministries of Health and Labor on occupation safety and health , environmental safety among other policies .
We keep our prices affordable and consistent throughout our network while at the same time endeavoring to maintain high quality standards .
How do you interface with the government both at national and county levels ?
We have a mutual working relationship with the government where we receive a lot of support in providing primary healthcare for services like vaccines , training on infection prevention and control , we share reports on various diseases as per the government requirement . Recently , we have been working specifically with MOH on the current Covid-19 pandemic guidelines and our relationship with the county government was enhanced while reporting for positive cases within our facilities and handling of the same .
Being on the frontline , how has AAR rewired team engagement to ensure your brand promise is sustained amid the pandemic as you ensure their safety and that of your customers ?
We prioritized engagement with staff , updated our guidelines continuously as information on Covid-19 became available , we ensured that our staff felt prepared and safe to handle patients during the Covid-19 pandemic , informed our patients of the interventions implemented , endeavored to apply the interventions consistently at every contact point . CAARe culture was enhanced during this period and
