from unwanted neighbors. I am reliably
informed that there are technologically
advanced ways of creating such barriers.
Still, the terrific deal age is a border-less
one and isolation talks are misinformed.
In fact, the American Dream is best
demonstrated by immigrants who
travelled to America and made the Nation
great in the first place.
The Trend Is Your Friend
There is a tendency of traditional industry
operators to fight new trends instead
of adjusting their business models
accordingly and in good time. Millennials
have been said to be as African, European
or American in this age with similar
behaviors such as avocado eating and
trading in crypto-currencies. They
are mining for terrific deals through
e-commerce in a very aggressive way and
corporates need to target them at their
point of need.
The new generations are termed to value
experiences as opposed to owning things
and this has created a big market for
experiences and sharing. This kind of
trends tend to dominate markets over
time, remember the dot.com trend?
Almost everyone ended up being one.
Always remember that the trend is your
friend and ride the wave accordingly.
While Technology Will
Kill Jobs It will also Create
More Specialized Ones
I always want to be an optimist about
job creation. I have heard and seen many
corporates cutting jobs and investing
in technology. It appears the age which
Albert Einstein is quoted to have feared
is approaching if it’s not here with us
already. He is said to have feared the day
machines will have higher intelligence
than a human being. The jobs created will
have to be more of predictive analytics
to predict customers’ behaviors and soft
skills.
It is high time we invested in education
for the Fourth Industrial Revolution
that is more knowledge based and results
oriented. It is never too late to be what
you could have been in the age of terrific
deal.
