Makayla marie kaeppel
Q. What is your back round?
A. I was born in Sumner, Iowa. I have lived in Hawkeye, Alpha, Clermont, and Wadena. My parents are Brian Kaeppel and Jill Wurzer.
Q. What are your favorite things to do?
A. I love to play any sports and going to the river is a necessity to me. And I love being with friends and family.
Q. Anything interesting happen family wise?
A. Well, I was adopted. My birth mom is Bobbi Jo Moritz. I have 2 brothers and a sister, all younger than me. And I believe I have a few siblings that I have never met before but I have only heard of them.
Q. What are 5 fun facts that nobody knows about you?
A. I'm really messy. Frozen deer jerky is my favorite food. I don't really have emotions when I am with other people. I used to play the flute. And, I hate not doing anything. I always want to do something.
Q. What are your biggest pet peeves?
A. When people chew with their mouths open. When people pee on the toilet seat. When people don't pick up after themselves. (Even though I can't myself.) When people are really cocky.
Q. Where do you think your future is headed?
A. I'm not sure. I am leaning towards going to Hawkeye Community College for my Associates Degree in Liberal Arts. Then transfering to Alan College for my Bachelors Degree in Ultrasound and x-ray. If I would like, I could go for more schooling and get MRI and katscan also.
Q. What is your advice for high school students?
A. I would say, make sure you have fun, but not too much fun. You are only in high school once. Make the best of it.

Makayla poses on a jetski at her families cabin in Harpers Ferry, Iowa. Both grandparents of Makayla own properties in Harpers Ferry and are quite close to each other. Jetskiing is on of Makayla's favorite things to do at the river.
FUN FACT:
Makayla had went throught the whole boating course when she was 12 so that she could get her licesnse so that she could drive the jetski all by herself. Finished the course. Never did the final test.
