Hopping Back in Time
Once upon a time, there was a newborn baby named Rex. He lived in the warm, sunny climate of Florida. He could talk, talk, talk. His parents thought that it was a little weird at first, but they just decided that they would have to get used to it. Rex could even solve problems, memorize, and think that a professor. Even though he is a newborn baby. He has always dreamed of talking to dinosaurs because they are his favorite animals. Rex has lots and lots of stuffed dinosaur animals, with each of them as a different dinosaur. He had always dreamed of going back in time and seeing the dinosaurs.
One day, Rex thought of an idea to make a time machine to go back in time to see the dinosaurs. So, he spent days on getting all of the supplies and tools that he would need to make the time machine. Once he got everything he needed, Rex got right to work. Since the machine has to hop back in time, Rex needed to make some type of fuel to get him back in time. So, he made the fuel, put it in the time machine, and tried to take off. He had made the wrong fuel. It didn’t work so Rex was very upset. Then, he noticed that it was getting pretty late and should head to bed soon. So, Rex took the fuel and put it down the drain.
The next day, it was very hot and everyone was at the swimming pools and at the beach. He noticed that things were a little weird that day. Every single person was hopping and jumping around instead of walking. Rex went over to his neighbor’s yard while he was watering his flowers and hopping at the same time. He asked what happened and he had no clue but that he enjoys hopping around. As Rex started doing some research, he found that the fuel had leaked into every single water pipe and was rapidly spreading to the whole world. The fuel, if touched, swallowed, or the fumes breathed in, would cause everything and anything to jump and hop.
Rex was mortified at the disaster and ran home. He made a new fuel and got back into the machine for what hopefully would take off this time. As he sat in the machine and got ready for liftoff, he thought about how bad he felt for leaving everyone like this, but he just didn’t know what to do or how to fix it. Rex pushed the button for lift off and it worked! Seconds later Rex felt a huge lift and then drop. The machine stopped moving and Rex slowly opened the door hoping he had got it right.
As Rex stepped out of the time machine, he noticed that he was standing in the middle of a jungle. He started to adventure. Everything was so much bigger and taller than him. Besides the fact that he is a newborn baby. He saw an opening and headed towards it. It was a lot sunnier and warmer after he got out of the jungle. Then, Rex heard and felt vibration and loud stomps on the ground, and a shadow was appearing behind him. He slowly turned around, and a huge dinosaur was standing right behind him. Rex got really scared and turned and ran back to the time machine. But, he hear something following him, a baby dinosaur had followed him all the way back to the time machine.
Rex didn’t know what to think of the baby dinosaur. He couldn’t just leave it all alone, and it was harmless and small. But, at the same time, the same size as Rex. He had decided to name the dinosaur Tee. Then, Rex took Tee in the time machine with him and they went home. When Rex and Tee returned, everything was completely normal! Rex’s parents told him that the potion had worn off after about 6 hours. Rex was happy that everything was back to normal now. But, he had quite the surprise for his family. He told everyone to go out to the time machine and see something that he had brought home. As Tee walked out of the time machine, Rex’s family was in awe. They thought that it was completely amazing! Rex asked them if it was okay for him to keep Tee. His parents said it was fine as long as he took care of him and kept him out of trouble, and if he gets too big he will have to go back. Rex and Tee were estatic! Tee already felt like part of the family and soon replaced all of Rex’s stuffed dinosaurs. ☺
The End.
