LEAVE-RELATED PROVISIONS
EMERGENCY PAID SICK LEAVE ACT
• Leave taken for:
Employee’s own care (reasons 1-3)
• Must be paid at employee’s regular rate or minimum wage, whichever is greater
• Limited to: $511 a day / $5,110 total
Employee to care for someone else (reasons 4-6)
• Must be paid at two-thirds the employee’s regular rate or minimum wage, whichever is greater
• Limited to: $200 a day / $2,000 total
• Amount of leave eligible:
Full-time = Up to 80 hours
Part-time = Up to an average of hours worked over a typical two-week period.
