Ever wondered how Ariana Grande was noticed, or how Bruno Mars came to stardom? Well now you can hear this amazing girl's story before she steps into the world of fame. This is Becca Mader. (See next page for interview) She is a senior in high school who started her fame after her rapper/singer brother Ben Mader made it big with his new music. Her brother was a junior in high school when he started his career in music. He took a year off college to pursue his music more and now he is at UNH and is doing very well there. He needed a backup singer, and Becca immediately jumped for the opportunity (more is explained in the video). She is planning on going to school in LA to also pursue acting and cosmetology. Her other specialty besides being a beautiful singer is also doing makeup. I had the pleasure to meet up with her to catch up and talk about her career and her new music that came out, and music she is writing. She also has a YouTube channel that she has been successful in. She will post not only her original music, but also song covers, vlogs, makeup videos and more.
With hearing Becca's journey to become what she wants to be and perusing her dream, I learned that it takes demanding work, to be driven, and takes time to be able to become what you want to be. Becca has showed us that with demanding work and devotion, you can make your dreams come true. Once I was told I had to interview someone, she was my first choice. She has accomplished so much, with the help of her family and friends that made me want to interview her even more. What I love about the interview is that you can see the connection between the two of us and how friends can pick up where they leave off. With being a singer myself, hearing what she did and how she became more confident with herself with singing, made me realize that if I wanted to pursue more in singing, I must become more confident and keep pushing forward.
