security would lower the amount of pirated music available on the internet. Not only this, but acc-ess to this illegal content would be severely limited, perhaps only obtainable in the deep web, whereas file-sharing sites acc-essible on the surface web would be limited to legal con-tent. Putting this method into practice would probably be con-siderably more complex (legal loopholes and whatnot), but it’s an idea that could save the music industry (as well as artists) mil-lions.

It’s possible that a musician is just having a tough time being

noticed. There are thousands, if not millions of unknown musicians who write quality music but are just never encountered because they don’t have the money or easy acc-ess to efficient ways to spread this music. This problem has been addressed in recent years with the release of Pandora and Spotify, as well as some music forums, but some great musicians are still going unnoticed because it’s difficult to be discovered outside of a friend group.
