There are activities you can perform without ARB approval, such as replacing dead plants with
the same species, removing invasive tallow trees, maintenance pruning (under 4” diameter).
Landscape design modifications require ARB review, as do structure repaints, repairs and
modifications. Please reference the supplementary document Checklist for Improvements
on Kiawah Island for guidance through the review process if you decide to proceed with
improvements to y our home or property.
