Wildlife Refuge

Aroostook National Wildlife Refuge( NWR) is located on part of the former Loring Air Force Base. Famous as a nesting ground for Upland Sandpipers, this wild area features 13 miles of hiking trails and boasting 14 miles of nordic ski trails in winter.
Fish River Chain of Lakes
This series of five interconnected lakes includes Long Lake and Eagle Lake, are great for fishing and boating. Public boat landings offer year round access. Local Tip: Fish River Falls is a great hike.
