Stargazing
The opportunities to stargaze have become increasingly rare in the modern world. While Aroostook County doesn’ t have any formally designated Dark Sky Parks, as part of the International Dark-Sky Association( IDA), it features several natural areas that are prized for their dark skies and minimal light pollution, making them ideal for stargazing.
1. Francis Malcolm Science Center
A Science Center and Planitarium by day, but great dark sky viewing area by night. This site is home to the Goliath Telescope and the Aroostook County Astronomy Club’ s star parties. Easton, Maine
2. Frenchville Dark Sky Observatory

3. Million Dollar View Scenic Byway
