28 Spring Kevin Borzym Snow thawing with green grass, starting to peek through the ground catching my eye A million glistening stars in the sky calm me down as I lie on the long nights looking up at the vast dark sky Birds humming softly whisper sweet things in my ear The trees and leaves dancing in the crisp breeze crinkle The earthy pungent mist where the ground hugs the air gives me goose bumps I inhale the sweet scent of flower buds waking up to greet the sunshine The salty water as it pours from the sky drips onto my tongue Hot steaming and delicious barbecue makes my family swarm to the patio. Butterflies in my stomach as the end of the school year rounds the corner makes me giddy with excitement The sun rays hit my skin and change my pale exterior to a bronze.
