Centennial Conference: Band
Sessions
By Chris White, MMEA Band VP
Hi all,
This is a quick note to tell you about the sessions in the band area. We have some great
people lined up. Two of the newest university level teachers in the state, Dr Trae Blanco
and Dr. Philip Edelman will be presenting instrumental sessions. We have a live middle
school rehearsal session on the CCA stage with award winning middles school band
director Tiffany Hitz from Fairfax County, Virginia working with the Reeds Brook
Middle School Band from Hampden Maine. We have a great hands on session in
auxiliary percussion instruments by Dr. Stuart Marrs and our big session is by Dr. Ed
Huckeby and his sight reading assessment series. See the attached description and bio!
Plus a few more sessions that will invigorate and inspire you.
I am looking forward to seeing you all in Orono in May!
