choruses / orchestras in your area and try to take part. It might relight a fire for you and it could be a great outlet for your student musicians.
Remember, a big part of the history of bands started with community players and it can, and does, continue in Maine!
Jonathan Simonoff is in his 9th year at Ashland District School. He teaches general, vocal, and instrumental music at all grade levels as well as conducts the University of Maine Presque Isle Community Band.
