Editor’s Note:
Welcome to the very first edition of “Maine Motif”—MMEA’s new professional
magazine! We hope that you can use some of the ideas shared by your colleagues
and find inspiration in the articles presented in each issue. You may be
wondering what happened to “The Bulletin”…. We thought it was time for a new
name for our publication that better reflects our vision for the magazine: sharing
practical ideas and information to offer support in the areas of curriculum,
instructional techniques, school culture and climate, state and national
standards, evaluation processes, etc… In each edition of Maine Motif, you’ll still
find “The Bulletin”, which will focus on reports from your MMEA Board
members and District, State, and NAfME news. In coming editions, look for new
and innovative formatting that will let us take advantage of digital publishing! We
have a couple of very cool ideas “in the works”.
