ALLAGASH RIVER , T10 R12 WELS to Allagash ( North Zone ). General fishing laws apply , except :
– From Churchill Dam downstream to the red markers at the confluence of Chisholm Brook , T10 R12 WELS . Fishing is prohibited in or from the fishway in Churchill Dam ; there are no distance restrictions when fishing near the fishway . ALO , S-19 . Only one brook trout may exceed 14 inches . From August 16 - September 30 : ALO . Minimum length limit on brook trout : 12 inches . Total daily bag limit on trout and togue : 1 fish .
– From Long Lake Dam downstream to Allagash Falls and all tributaries . From August 16 - September 30 : ALO . Total daily bag limit on trout and togue : 1 fish .
– From Allagash Falls downstream to the confluence with the St . John River . S-11 . Closed to the taking of live baitfish except by hook and line . The general law maximum length limit on landlocked salmon does not apply . From October 1 - November 30 : ALO . Open to taking bass and muskellunge only .

ALLAGASH STREAM , T8 R14 WELS to T8 R13 WELS ( North Zone ). General fishing laws apply , except :
– From the T8 R14 WELS / T8 R15 WELS town line ( AWW boundary ) downstream to Allagash Lake : ALO , S-16 . Minimum length on whitefish : 16 inches . From August 16 - September 30 : ALO . Minimum length limit on trout : 12 inches . Total daily bag limit on trout and togue : 1 fish . Minimum length on whitefish : 16 inches .
– From Allagash Lake downstream to Little Round Pond , T8 R13 & 14 WELS . ALO , S-16 . Minimum length on whitefish : 16 inches . From August 16 - September 30 : ALO . Minimum length limit on trout : 12 inches . Total daily bag limit on trout and togue : 1 fish . Minimum length on whitefish : 16 inches .
– From Little Round Pond downstream to the red markers at the trestle on Chamberlain Lake , T8
R13 WELS . ALO , S-21 . Minimum length on whitefish : 16 inches . From August 16 - September 30 : Closed to all fishing .

ALLAGASH WILDERNESS WATERWAY , T6 R11 WELS to Allagash .
AWW Watercraft Restrictions ( Summary ):
- From the south end of Telos Lake to the north end of Chamberlain Lake , the use of all models of personal watercraft ( PWC ), hovercraft , airboats , racing boats , and pontoon boats is prohibited .
- From Lock Dam Stream , where it enters Eagle Lake north to twin Brook Rapids , only canoes without motors or motors not exceeding 10 hp , may be used on the watercourse .
- On Allagash Lake and Allagash entrance of Chamberlain Lake , all watercraft are prohibited except canoes without motors .
- Except on Telos and Chamberlain Lakes , the use of inflatable watercraft is prohibited .
- Water skiing or other activities in which individuals are towed behind watercraft are prohibited .
