Celebrate winter at this annual event with a bonfire , hot beverages and food . Bring your family , friends and neighbors . This event is free and registration is not required . Sponsored by Mahtomedi Parks Commission , Mahtomedi Youth Hockey Association and Mahtomedi Community Education . The winter festivities occur at the community rink and warming house north of the District Education Center .

Dance to music by a DJ , visit the Sweetheart selfie-station , enjoy face painting , craft tables and refreshments . Make a memory with your special someone that will last a lifetime .

The entrance to the rinks is found by driving north on Mahtomedi Ave , turn right onto Quail St , travel two blocks then turn right on Briarwood Ave . If the Briarwood gates are closed , the rink is closed . The warming house phone number is 651-653-1864 . Note : Rink and warming house opening depends on weather conditions . The rinks / warming house are closed if the temperature reaches -10 degrees actual or wind chill , snow accumulation is greater than two inches , or if a thaw causes standing water . Operation of the rinks / warming house is a cooperative effort of the City of Mahtomedi , Mahtomedi Hockey Association and Mahtomedi Community Education .
