I typically try to avoid dining at fast-food restaurants but when I first tasted Chipotle, I couldn’t help but admit that they served undeniably good food.

Located in Downtown Vancouver, is a little restaurant which offers possibly the best Mexican cuisine I have ever experienced. Chipotle's minimalist décor—shiny steel tables, plywood bar stools and dim lighting—gives off a nice rustic touch which also adds a relaxed atmosphere.

Ok, now about the food. The menu at Chipotle is fairly simple. They provide burritos, burrito bowls, fajitas, salads, and tacos which will contain a variety of fresh ingredients of your choice. The ingredients include grilled meats, cilantro-lime rice, black or pinto beans, fiery hot sauce, sour cream, crispy lettuce and a diversity of salsas. Oh, and not to mention, their infamous guacamole which can be served with a bag of their seasoned tortilla chips. Chipotle also carries a vegan option which includes their own creation called “Sofritas”. Sofritas are predominantly just shredded Organic tofu braised with a blend of aromatic spices which is ideal for all those non-meat-eaters out there, or maybe just someone who wants to go for the healthier route.

One of Chipotle’s main selling points is their use of free-range pork, chicken, and beef; this means that the meats used are from humanely raised animals that are not fed hormones or antibiotics which is definitely something worth applauding. What’s most impressive is how carefully Chipotle controls its cooking and serving operation. Not only will you taste the difference between Chipotle and other fast-food places but also between Chipotle and independent Mexican restaurants.

A meal from Chipotle generally costs around ten dollars which is quite reasonable considering how surprisingly filling it is. Bottom-line, if you’re ever around the downtown Vancouver area, you should definitely give it a try. It will certainly satisfy the cravings of all you Mexican-food lovers.
