Our full programme of Magna Carta speakers
included: Professor Nigel Saul (Royal Holloway),
Richard Williams (EbRHS), the Rt. Hon. David Davis
MP, H.H. Judge Brian Barker Q.C., Julian Harrison
(British Library)*, Will Self*, Professor Nicholas
Vincent (University of East Anglia)*, Tim Hancock
(Amnesty International) and Anthony Barnett
(OpenDemocracy)*. In addition, Curator of Egham
Museum, Dr Matthew Smith gave talks to groups as
diverse as local branches of the WI and U3A to former
employees of the National Physical Laboraratory and
members of the European Union’s Committee of the
Regions. Over 1,200 people attended these talks.
