People Making the Planet More Productive. That’s
our mission statement that our sales team works to
achieve each and every day.
We believe it’s our agronomy services, our lab test-
ing capabilities, and our technology offerings that all
work together to fulfill that mission, but we do it better
together.
“We understand that as we help
you achieve your goals, together
we are helping the growers we
serve be successful,” says Chief
Operating Officer Jeff Hiers. “It
is in that relationship that we can
work together to develop strat-
egies to fulfill our mission. This
also helps build our brand. Our
representatives are what keep
our customers up-to-date on upcoming trends, latest
technology and agriculture information that is needed
when making critical decisions.”
The Servi-Tech’s sales team division consists of four
people that serve the Midwest. These individuals
include: Jessica Kolo of Iowa; Rhonda Kupke of
Nebraska; William Kerschen of Kansas; and Charlie
Carter of Texas.
The group is also expanding by hiring a feeds
specialist.
“A big bulk of our business comes from the feed
industry,” Hiers said. “We want to make sure our
focus is on having the customer service to help serve
this sector. There is a tremendous of opportunity in
expanding our current business into helping more
groups succeed.”
William Kerschen, a sales representative from
southwest Kansas, said: “As a member of the
sales team, it is crucial that we get in front of our
cooperative members. Servi-Tech was started by this
group and it is our duty to serve them to the best of
our ability. Our precision team and
laboratories have a lot to offer and
can benefit each and every coop into
serving their customers.”
He added: “By utilizing this
technology and services, we can
give our coops the ability to connect
with their growers more intimately.
“Each option we have can be
tailored to the coop’s need. Utilizing
the tools and services Servi-Tech
offers will give coops the upper hand in helping their
customers make a better decision. For example, by
utilizing CropView and the ProfilerPlus, these tools
can help the coop aid farmers in deciding what crop
to plant in what field by available moisture, as well as
track the progress of plant health.
“Each tool provides a valuable service that tracks
data for the decisions that need to be made for
upcoming years, as well,” Kerschen said. “Making
big decisions with limited data can be detrimental to
farming operations these days. With the economy and
weather like it is, we need all hands
on deck, as we prepare for this
season and the future, as well.”
