The Carbon cycle we

selected is important to an

ecosystem because it is critical to the food chain. Everyday human activities such as driving cars that release burning fuels(combustion), and heating homes release carbon into the atmosphere as carbon dioxide. The carbon dioxide is then absorbed by green plants(producers) to make food in photosynthesis. Animals feed off of the green plants they pass carbon onto other animals. Animals give off carbon dioxide into the atmosphere during respiration. carbon dioxide is given off when plants or animals die. If this cycle stopped or changed, some challenges humans would face would be having to find other resources to rely on to make fossil fuels.
