Accountability Focus
Accountability was the focus of TBI Visiting Scholar Dr. Michael Reichert’ s collaboration this past year with our faculty and staff.“ If the mission of Saint David’ s is‘ that they be good men,’ then it is incumbent on us to help others learn how to take responsibility, how to hold themselves accountable,” he explained.“ Boys can’ t rely upon others to repair relationships.”
Throughout the year, teams of teachers explored how to help boys take more responsibility, even if they are naturally inclined not to do so. Dr. Reichert also met with the school’ s parent body in February and discussed ways that parents, as their sons’ primary teachers, can help their children be more accountable.
