Cake is better than acrobats My Sister’s Birthday Cake My
Little Sister’s birthday is May 28. For my sister’s 6th birthday, which was two years ago, I made her a strawberry cake for the summer. It is a Strawberry Yogurt Cake that had lemon inside. It is such a fresh and delicious cake. This birthday cake was very memorable. At this time, my sister had just started to become interested in gymnastics. She is now on a competitive team at age 8. She requested from my mother that her birthday party had an acrobat, because she really wanted to have someone twirling and jumping at her party for all her friends. My mom followed her wishes and arranged for an acrobat to come to the party with my sister’s 15 classmates and friends. The kids were enjoying themselves with coloring pages and craft stations. The acrobat had finally arrived and the kids all went screaming to the door. Everyone got settled into the family room floor, where there was a large space in front of them where the acrobat could do her tricks. My grandma has just finished the finishing touches on the birthday cake that I wasn't able to complete earlier. She wanted to bring the cake over to show my mom how great a job I had done decorating it, because she always likes to brag. As she walked over, the acrobat was mid-air after just flying off of a bar and expecting to land on a mat, but instead landing on my cake. Everyone was silent, and then my sister bursted out into laughter, and so everyone else did as well. When I think of this cake now, all I see is my grandmother’s face as my sister’s birthday cake shot down to her feet. What a comical sight.
