The Yoga Experiment
What Am I Trying To Accomplish?
We all have stress, from teenagers to adults. Stress is one of the most common symptoms in many mental illnesses. (I am not saying that everyone with stress has a mental illness; I am just simply stating that stress and mental illnesses have a many things in common.) We all wish that there was some easy fix for our stress, or some way to manage it. In this case many people turn to things they enjoy such as working out, creating art, hanging out with friends, and other activities, but some of us do not have the time to one of those things in an average day. We want something easy, and something quick.
One way that benefits your health, mentally and physically, is to participate in some yoga. With this, you would do 15-20 minutes of yoga twice a day, before school/work and after school/work.
The following moves I chose are easy and relaxing. Everyone can do them!
Move 1- Bridge Pose- This pose can reduce anxiety, and fatigue.
Move 3- Downward Dog
Move 4- Child’s Pose- Eases stress and anxiety.
Stress Relief
Move 2- Upward Dog
Move 5-Savasana
