The other day I went to dinner at a restaurant with a friend, and a family that was having dinner next to our table caught my attention. They were a couple with their two children, I would say they were between 3 and 5 years old, they would not have more. During the whole dinner, the two children were with the tablet. Each child had their own tablet and they did not raise their heads throughout the dinner.
This is an example of many that I have seen in my day to day, technology has advanced too much and society in my opinion is not giving it the use it should. Many children spend many hours entertained with new technologies and often without adult supervision. If all these hours that they use the technologies were used in an educational but also entertaining way and not simply playful, many children would have fewer problems in the acquisition of knowledge since it would be a very potential complement to improve their learning. The problem is that the society gives to new technologies so that the child is entertained with games that have no educational purpose and parents can enjoy the moment without bothering their child.
In conclusion, we should take advantage of new technologies for productive uses, since children are more interested in working with these materials than in the traditional way. The only problem with new technologies is its incorrect use.
