Bachforelle Reserve.
Municipal Stall reserve, it is a varied stretch, full
of different fishing situations. Slow pools, big
currents, bends with big potholes, water obstacles such as logs and stones, all of them thought
to be prelude to big (but missed) surprises. The
average river width is of appro x 20 meters, variable depth with some deep potholes. The river is
home to a good number of grayling and trout,
the latter being represented by browns and extremely ‘nervous’ rainbows. The river flows partly
close to the road and partly in the middle of the
fields. Two or three are the places suggested by
Gerhard where you can comfortably park the car
and get ready for fishing.
It is worthwhile mentionning that one morning,
on a long pool near an extended bend of the
river close to the road, in a couple of hours we
caught some fifty fish – both trout and grayling whereas our two other fishing mates, one kilometre above, had a hard time to catch a couple
of trout each. A strange world indeed, but to our
luck we made it!
