“ Receiving this award is a great honor for me. As a striker, you live for scoring goals, but some are more than just a goal – they stay in your memory. This was one of those, a perfect mix of technique, athleticism, and timing. The ball from Leon Goretzka came in high, difficult to control. I had to fully stretch to bring it down cleanly. In that moment, I knew: if everything came together, this could be something special. I managed to control the ball and finished with a header – a combination of instinct and focus. Goals like this are rare, and this was undoubtedly one of the most beautiful of my career. You can feel it the moment it happens, when everything just clicks. My wife was thrilled afterward and jokingly said she never knew I was that flexible. Moments like these are what make football so special.“
