Special Guest - Winter Savage Dare to dream is what I would tell myself. My imagination has enabled me to continue to work towards being one of the world’s most renowned fashion stylist. As a child I always had a love for fashion because it allowed me to escape my life’s unfortunate circumstances. I grew up as an orphan and in the foster care system. I discovered the essence of womanhood in fashion and adopted it as part of my identity. Fashion enabled me to develop a high level of self-esteem and confidence. I began styling 3 years ago and through my endeavors I have been published twice. I style both men and women and love the art of design. I enjoy putting emotions and feeling into an ensemble and style both men and women. I also believe that helping a person develop a self confidence is simultaneously assisting them with their self worth. I decided that I wanted to matriculate through college to obtain my social work degree. The reason I decided to do so is because I wanted to assist people with creating goals and developing selfefficacy. I believe that in order for a person to do an adequate job in life they must feel like they have potential. Helping them present themselves in a manner that is confident, professional, and comfortable. If people like good they feel good. I ultimately want to link social work and fashion together because in my opinion they both are linked to the overall tenacity of the individual at hand. When we look good we feel good. That shows through our confidence and through our persona. Its not always what we wear but how we wear it. I enjoying captivated people by telling a story with no words just a visual representation. Fashion is a way of life, and art is an expression. 9
