SAMMICH MAN EXPRESS

New beginnings can often come with difficulties . For Sammich Man Express , their first day of operation started with a bang . A big one . They popped a breaker .
Rick Mallo , who operates the Sammich Man Express food truck with his wife Karen Melbourne , said he built the food truck from the ground up . However , while he was setting up the truck for opening day , he didn ’ t account for all of the crockpots being plugged in . So , on their very first day of operation , Sammich Man Express went dark .
“ As soon as I turned my big fan on , we popped the breaker ,” Mallo explained .
Line of customers had already formed , they husband and wife team worked their very first hour of operation in the dark .
Thankfully , the food truck was smartly parked just outside where Mallo and Melbourne live . So , when the initial rush was over , Mallo ran into the house and flipped the breaker switch . The food truck once more was illuminated . “ If we were out somewhere , it would have been major ,” Mallo said .
Situations like the breaker , was one of the reasons why Sammich Man Express started its existence in the driveway of where the two operators live . Another reason for the placement , which was only temporary , was
