Clayton Whitson President / CEO
Clayton Whitson is the President & CEO of the Madison County Chamber of Commerce . He has a bachelor ’ s degree from Indiana State University and is a 2023 graduate of the University of Oklahoma ’ s Economic Development Institute . At the Chamber , Clayton leads their economic development and advocacy efforts while focusing on the mission of improving the business climate and quality of life in Madison County . His efforts have led to the MCC earning multiple awards from the Indiana Chamber Executives Association as well himself earning the Indiana Chamber Executive of the Year honors in 2023 . Additionally , Clayton has served terms on the Madison County Council and the Elwood Economic Development Commission and has served on several nonprofit boards including the Ivy Tech Anderson campus Board of Trustees and the Anderson University Security Studies and Cyber Defense Advisory Board , Leadership Academy of Madison County , and the Madison County Bicentennial .
Patty Lovins Director of Membership & Events
Patty has been a Madison County resident for 40 years and is an Anderson University alumna . After her time at AU , she began careers in both business administration and event planning . She has overseen large-scale events such as the Indianapolis Art League Gala and the Indy 500 Festival Dinner . In 2016 she joined the Madison County Chamber where she organizes , manages , and implements all events for the Chamber , as well as overseeing all internal functions of the membership base as the director of events and membership services . She is active in working alongside several local non-profit organizations in fundraising and awareness and currently serves on the board of directors for the Anderson Madison County Visitors Bureau and The Christian Center .
Rachael McCracken Business Development Manager
Rachael , a Hamilton County native , pursued her education at IUPUI and Ivy Tech , focusing on business management and early childhood education . Inspired by her father ’ s entrepreneurial spirit , she launched her own child care business in 2002 . With increasing demand , she successfully expanded by opening a second location in 2009 . Rachael earned National Accreditation from the National Association for Family Childcare and maintained a flawless inspection record with the State of Indiana . After 17 successful years in childcare , Rachael and her family relocated to Madison County in 2020 . She joined the Madison County Chamber of Commerce in 2021 as the Business Development Manager . In this role , she leverages her experience as a business owner to support and mentor others on their entrepreneurial journeys . Rachael has deeply embedded herself in the Madison County community , finding fulfillment in helping others thrive . She currently serves on the boards of Outfitters , Inc . ( Pendleton ) and The Leadership Academy of Madison County . With expertise in marketing , business administration , economic development , and relationship-building , Rachael is dedicated to using her talents to enhance the organizations she serves and contribute to the success of the community .
