As a young adult I was trying to pursue my freelance photography business , and I needed supplemental income , and that is where my coffee shop journey began . In 2015 , after two short years of barista experience , I became the proud new owner of our small-town coffee house . I wouldn ’ t be where I am today without the help from my family . I am the sole owner of Falls Perk Coffee House , but together with my parents I am owner of Falls Perk Roasting Company , which we began in 2019 . Chances are if you catch me in public and I am not holding my children ' s hands , or a cup of coffee , I likely have a camera in my hands . I have made both of my passions into a career and I couldn ’ t be more grateful . The most important thing to me is my family . I have a supportive husband , and my parents and my grandfather are heavily involved in helping with the coffee shop . My staff is incredible and I have made lifelong friendships with some of them and many of our customers . I am blessed to be a part of this community and I forever am grateful for this life I get to live each day .
