Ambassadors are essential to the vision , mission and purpose of the Chamber and are selected on the basis of the individual ’ s interest , dependability , integrity , energy and communication skills .
Chamber Ambassadors have a wide variety of responsibilities , including welcoming new members , encouraging current members to maximize benefits , aiding staff in maintaining / retaining membership , and acting as liaisons for open communication between members and Chamber staff .
While recruitment of new members is important , the Chamber ’ s primary role is to provide support and resources to our existing members . The Ambassadors help fulfill that mission by serving as advisors to the Chamber staff , bringing their professional expertise to help guide the direction of the Chamber by providing feedback on programming content and advocacy priorities .
They also help to familiarize the community at large with the Chamber and our services and benefits . By connecting the members with these services , Ambassadors help businesses get the greatest return on their membership investment .
