5 REASONS

TO DO BUSINESS IN

MADISON COUNTY

1 . EDUCATIONAL OPTIONS
The Madison County workforce benefits from having three higher educational institutions in Anderson University , Purdue Polytechnic and Ivy Tech . Additionally , Madison County is home to two K-12 career centers – D-26 and the Hinds Career Center . These institutions provide many of the same degree programs of larger schools , but in a setting that is small enough to provide dedicated , one-on-one attention while students earn their degrees . These programs contribute to retention of talent in the area , as many graduates of our schools choose to stay local , working in business and industry in Anderson and surrounding communities . This diversity in educational opportunity has laid the groundwork for a local talent pipeline that can meet the needs of any employer or industry .
2 . HOUSING MARKET
Over the past five years , Madison County has seen the largest increase in home values of any county in the state of Indiana . Another positive sign is the robust increase in building permits for single-family homes , which more than doubled in 2019 . Despite the COVID-19 pandemic , those record building numbers continued throughout 2020 . A large part of that is due to our housing diversity . Whether you ’ re looking for small-town living , downtown living , farm communities , historic neighborhoods , family-friendly neighborhoods , golf course communities , waterfront property , or proximity to trails , schools or retirement communities – we have it all . Couple that with the fact that Madison County ’ s cost of living is 15.3 % lower than the national average . Your money goes further here in Madison County .
