" Those who know my story agree that I ’ ve survived circumstances that I shouldn ’ t have . Not by my own merit , but because life is a gift and there is a plan and purpose for my life . In fact , there is a plan and purpose for us all . Sounds simplistic , but research supports the significance of meaning and purpose in our lives . I sought and eventually found my purpose . And helping others do the same is actually my purpose . I am fortunate , that at both Ivy Tech and with my clients in my consulting practice , I have the opportunity to help people find purposeful work and purpose in life . "

Education : Master of business administration , Anderson University ; bachelor of arts , organization leadership , Anderson University Job responsibilities : Oversee the Indiana business operations for Bill & Gloria Gaither , including the Gaither tour , events and cruises , as well as managing the employees , properties and business holdings . Work / life philosophy : “ Enjoy each day no matter what gets thrown at you . Love people , find good solutions , be innovative and when you have to handle something challenging , do it with an open mind , as others may have ideas worth exploring . “ Don ’ t get stuck on only one path or one solution , as there could be alternatives along the way . You have to keep showing up and doing the work . Read daily , including things that challenge you to think deeper or differently and include books that give you joy . “ Be an encourager , a good listener and remember to help others professionally , personally and socially without expecting something in return . Keep learning new things and pushing yourself to set new goals . “ Life is short , so when things get you down , a walk in the park or a hike in the forest will clear your head and reboot your soul .”

Job responsibilities : Owner , manager , event coordinator Work / life philosophy : “ My love of people has made business ownership my forte . I have a passion for mentoring staff and women in the beauty profession through education . “ The one word that I can always say to someone that ’ s my word for life in general is to be flexible . Change is inevitable , and if we don ’ t have flexibility it ’ s very difficult to be healthy minded about things because we then have a tendency to be too guilt ridden . “ We don ’ t live in a perfect world . With a lack of flexibility , we ’ re too hard on ourselves . We get too hung up on being perfect , doing every assignment correctly .”
