AC: When CoverGirl ap-
proached me, it was an automatic
“Yes!” That is a dream come true—
it’s something every girl dreams of
that I never thought I could obtain
especially since I don’t really come
from the entertainment industry.
I’m in the culinary world, so when
they approached it was an auto-
matic “Yes!”. I got my first lipstick
from CoverGirl so it was one of
those moments where life came
full circle. Then the company as a
whole was changing their entire
branding and they’re on this incred-
ible journey of empowering women
from all walks of life and so for
me, hearing that and seeing that,

“I feel like a lot of people in my life are so
passionate about certain interests in their
life and they want to make it a career,
but then they don’t want to talk about it.
They don’t want to spread the word about
themselves because they are embarrassed
or they’re shy about what it is that they
love. If you want someone to take interest
in something that you love, you have to
love it whole heartedly and you have to
be willing to put yourself on the line. Put
yourself on the line and put your interests
out there.”
NEVER STOP WORKING. “While we
need to make time for ourselves, you
should always be thinking about what
your next move is and how you’re going to
make your business better, more
functional and more accessible for
people.”
BE PRESENT. “For me, really being there
and backing my products and being
there to develop my products was really
important for me. Make sure you’re not
letting other people make decisions for
you. You’re the one making the decisions
and calling the shots. So, be your own girl
boss!”
