many people begin to think of the
New Year and the goals they will
achieve on January 1st. Usually,

You may have spent the year
overwhelming yourself with all that
you wanted to accomplish. Instead
of daydreaming about your new
healthy lifestyle or that career tran-
sition, take some time writing down
two or three specific steps that you
can do to help you get there. For
example, instead of saying you will
have better eating habits, plan out
two or three meals for the week. moments to accomplish small steps for
your bigger goal.

Tell those you trust about the goals
you’d like to meet and ask them
to hold you accountable. Sharing
specific objectives privately with a
mentor, best friend or partner can
be beneficial if you fall off track and
can keep you going! The saying “Action Takes You Places”
is so true. Keep yourself on track by
creating a measurable goal you can
reach every week. Whether it’s reaching
out to someone you admire, setting up
an informational interview or joining a
network group.

Take a moment to see what is stop-
ping you from reaching your goals.
Are you going out too much? Not

for hours? While cutting out things
that you enjoy may be hard, you are
ultimately wasting time! While your

off of family and friends while you're
spending time with loved ones. You can
also plan to spend time at parties and
