HERE’S HOW MILLENNIALS WOULD VOTE IF THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION WERE TODAY Republican leaders are hoping to appeal to millennial voters in the 2016 presidential election, but they face an uphill battle with the liberal leaning generation. This challenge can be seen in a recent Quinnipiac University Poll in which millennials ages 18-34 were asked whom they would vote for if the general election were today. Each respondent disclosed their preference in all potential general election scenarios, e.g. Clinton vs Trump, Clinton vs Rubio, Sanders vs Trump, and so on. Here’s how the candidates stack up among millennial voters. Methodology: Responses are reported for 1,453 registered voters with a margin of sampling error of +/- 2.6 percentage points. The survey includes 672 Republican or Republican leaning voters with a margin of sampling error of +/- 3.8 percentage points and 573 Democratic or Democratic leaning voters with a margin of sampling error of +/- 4.1 percentage points.
