LOVE, SEX &
FRIENDSHIP:
IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER
The stories your
big sister never told you.
MADE BY: CHELSEY LITTLE
As a 20-something woman in today’s culture, the
realities of life, love and relationships continue
to build stories as the years go on. With all of
our experiences being unique in their own way,
we, as millennial females, value the authentic
stories of more seasoned women who have
“been there and done that”. With this in mind,
hearing the perspectives from sucessful women
who are not only near our age, but are relatable
can provide us with gems of insight necessary
for our growth and development.
While the journeys in our lives continue to
develop with unique perspectives, there is a point
in which we must identify, acknowledge and hold
on to the importance of the relationships we’ve
built with those who are close to our hearts.
Farissa Knox, author of Love, Sex, & Friendship:
In No Particular Order, writes about the journey
of her mid-to-late twenties, and her transition
to her thirties as a wonderful mom, savvy
entrepreneur and CEO of RLM Media and fashion
social networking blog, WHATRUWearing. In
this novel, Knox provides a real perspective on
what she learned from her closest relationships.
As we dive into true adulthood (as a mother,
wife, etc.), much can be learned from Knox’s
experiences. Moving from New York to Chicago
during this period in time, Knox speaks on how
the value of friendship and love served as an
influence upon her life as a young adult. In an
exclusive interview with MADE, she encourages
women of the millennial generation to continue
to keep moving forward towards future goals
while also allowing relationships to follow
accordingly without any rush or pressure to
start at a specific time. “There are no rules or
regulations, you [have to] make it for yourself”,
Knox says.
