Holding a bachelor’s degree from Duke University and an M.B.A. from Clark Atlanta University, Campbell has been making impacts in the world of communications for more than a decade. She has also been a dedicated volunteer in the Greater Atlanta area, serving on the Atlanta’s Resource for Entertainment & Arts and Atlanta Bicycle Coalition boards, as well as leading international outreach for Caring For Others Inc. 22. Sojourner Marable Grimmett A 15-year veteran of the media world, Sojourner Grimmett is currently the Director of External Affairs, Atlanta Region at National Church Residences. A compassionate community organizer, Sojourner is one of Atlanta’s sought after social media influencers with the ability to engage online users to enact social change. A proud alumna of Clark Atlanta University and Pennsylvania State University, she has also volunteered her voice on various blog platforms including the YWCA, Children’s Museum of Atlanta, WSB-TV and Mom-to-Mom. Simone Harrison For over 20 years, Simone Harrison made her mark in sales, business development, marketing, communications and operations. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff for Scientific Games, spearheading global contract development activities. Currently, Harrison serves on the Board of Directors for the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), which educates, promotes, influences and unites Georgia’s technology community to stimulate the tech-based economy. She received an M.B.A. from Georgia State University and bachelor’s degree from George Mason University. 23. Sonya Halpern Sonya Halpern serves on the Board of Directors of the National Black Arts Festival. In 2011, Sonya was appointed by president Barack Obama as a member for the President’s Advisory Committee on the Arts for the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Prior to this role, she had an extensive career in advertising sales and marketing as a former executive with ESPN, The Walt Disney Company, and Cox Enterprises.
